Both
religion and psychology utilize techniques to lure error from its hiding place
deep down in the dark recesses of our minds, all that we repressed from view
not knowing how to deal with it on a conscious level. A true meaningful change
can take place only when we find and relate to our lost Identity, pursuing us
presently as a conscience.
So
you are ready to give up your hang-ups? Good, but before you can take that
important step, there are certain obstacles to your recovery that must be
removed. Chances are, in your desperation you have undergone various forms of
therapy and these have made you worse and more confused. So first, it is
necessary to examine carefully the faults of your "therapy" in order
to eliminate its lingering effects. Through the meditation process, problems
are first examined, then understood and resolved in the light of that
understanding. However, before we proceed to your more basic problems, the
traumatic process of "therapy" must first be resolved. The principle
underlying all spiritual growth is that we must deal with the most recent
problem and then the one that gave rise to it and so on, in retrospect.
Reviewing
your mistakes past the grandstand of your mind, including the mistakes you have
remedied, is an extremely important process; it must be done in a very special
way which may parallel psychoanalysis. This review must be accomplished by you
(alone in the privacy of your own room) so that further complications, with
outside influences, do not develop. The reason why the psychological
"cure" must be understood first, is that it's an almost perfect
imitation of the real method.
In
fact, psychoanalytical procedure is a most remarkable imitation. Because it
does seduce many lost sheep, it is important its exposure be shown for what it
is so that you will not be led further astray.
