THE
PSYCHOLOGY OF A CANCER
For
whoever wants to save his (higher, spiritual, eternal) life, will lose (the
lower, natural, temporal life which is lived on earth); and whoever gives up
his life (which is lived (only) on earth), for My sake and the Gospel's, will
save (his higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God) - Mark 8:35.
Plundering Nature for Female "Love"
Man's
sensitivity to stress and pressure is directly proportionate to his being
"loved" by woman. The more he's "loved," the more he feels
challenged and threatened by his environment, and the more life he wants out of
nature, one way or another; power through territorial domain, power from
riches, a sense of power from drugs, alcohol, and so on.
Through
his need of woman, man has a negative influence on his environment. Instead of
subduing and taming nature by his grace, as was originally ordained, he
proceeds to assimilate her, whereupon nature rises up in man himself.
The
plundering and poisoning of environment is keyed to our ego-need for life, and
the need for luxury and the abuse of nature to make our ego feel secure, as if
we were kings.
The
Magical Balance of Eternal Life There is a certain unexplainable magic in how a
flower comes alive in the sun, and how one creature gives life to another. So
is the magic of man's life peculiar to his own type of inner environment, and a
little experience with a sensual life, nature and pleasure will show that we
are indeed related wrongly.
We
are given awareness to know that something is wrong and to recognize the right
way; for the magic of eternal life hangs in a mystical ecological balance.
We
sense out the Truth with our searching soul, or we burrow sensually into the
earth to escape the light. Life is a
journey. In our travels we find endless meaningful adventures-or we are slowed
down to a dead end. We wander around as though in a plastic bag in a world of
monsters and devils in futility, meaninglessness and fear.
Through
seeking we find ourselves abandoning what we once thought of as living and
loving to find a mystical fulfillment in the "ecology" of the inner
self.
Words
cannot describe life from this inner world, but from the very first rung on the
ladder you have an objective view of the pathetic state the involved, sensual,
misguided, worldly person is in-and from this "perch" you can see
what it is you too are doing wrong and why-and what you must understand and do
to be free.
