THE MYSTERY AND MASTERY
OF LOVE AND MARRIAGE
PART 2
Although he needs
motivation, man may become fearful of its effect because it moves him away from
his center of calm and dignity.
Guilt-ridden, one
day he may become impotent and frozen— needing both temptation and motivation,
but at the same time being afraid of the dissipating effects. This state is called by various names;
inferiority, anxiety, guilt and fear.
Man is also
tormented by the desires (which he dare not express) that are invoked by the
excitement he needs to exist.
The problem of man
is a spiritual one, but unfortunately he tries to conquer his guilty and
inferior state by intellectual and/or brute force. In other words, we all apply sheer cunning
and brute force when we should apply understanding.
Failing in this, we
then devolve to rationale. Unable to
extricate our pride by these means, we resort to knocking down others for an
illusion of superiority and growth. Unfortunately this wild behavior separates
us further from humanness. Everything we attempt to do without Reason's
intercession is the elevator to deeper levels of depravity.
Allow the writer to
restate the basic premise in order to utilize the aforementioned points of view
in our discussion on sex and love. Certain reactions to life produce in us a
cycle of physical development from which emanates compulsive modes of behavior mingled
with fear, inferiority and guilt. These unmodified reactions refer our mental
faculties, glands and body to a de-volutionary animalistic decline - a state.
As this writer has
pointed out, animals are programed and take shape from their environment. Your conscience may tell you of this
discrepancy in your nature - both by the terrible things you are required to do
under this order and by the conflict in your soul.
