Even
when a woman becomes aware, as women sometimes do, of a dark self emerging from
the depths of her soul, even when she is aware that the spirit of her man is
loving and embracing that evil in her and not loving herself (her sacrificial
self) even when she knows that IT is the power, not her, even though she begins
to see what the spirit of her unconscious "dumbness” is doing to both the
man and her, even when she sees their relationship as two devils having sex and
making baby devils, even then, she cannot shake free of her compulsiveness.
Have
you noticed that the world, in general, is run by dull, stupid people? The more
inferior a person is, the more likely he is to gravitate to a position of
power. It is as though society just can't do enough for its obsequious dummies
but must reward them with one position of authority after another, each one
greater than the last. At least, that's the way the system works as long as the
dummy plays the game and keeps falling all over himself to be all things to all
people. Should he suddenly wake up and start to rock the boat, well that's another
story entirely.
Similarly,
a man will be so pleased to find a sweet, submissive, nonthreatening little
woman (crazy like a fox) to idolize him that before he knows what hit him, he
will have given her complete control over all that he has, worse yet, over all
that he is. He loves the feeling of mastery he gets from her deference to his
every wish and thought. He may even look on her support and adulation as his
God-given due; after all, she is "only" a woman and therefore, she is
only too glad to do everything in her power for the superior person he thinks
he is. That's the way he sees it or tries to.
