LET’S
UNLOVE OUR CHILDREN
Loving
and being loved can be the most fatal commitment that one can possibly make.
You
see, there are two kinds of love: Human
love, and Divine love.
Humanly
speaking we are loving and kind for a "profit". Usually that profit
is the "respect" or passionate embrace of another. Some of us demand
respect and will do practically anything to obtain it.
This
"anything" makes us more un-respectable of course, and soon sharpens
our appetite for love and respect into abominable proportions.
If,
with all your secret failings you do get respect from someone, what does this
respect imply?
It
means plainly that:
1) Your
admirer is blind.
2) He
or she is not blind, but will give you what you need in exchange for what they
need (usually sex or money).
3) They
are not respectable, because who is respectable will never respect someone who
is un-respectable. They will not
disrespect them, but they will not lie to comfort or justify them in any shape or
form.
A
respectable person knows that love does not come via human resources. Truly honest people realize that to fulfill
another's need for love is to weaken them to need more "love". To give homage is simply to justify another
in their error and provide power for their growing faults.
To become a slave of another's insatiable
need of love and serving them with a sense of righteousness we are not laboring
for the purpose for which we are made, and thus falling into error ourselves, yet we may be satisfied (for a while) by
observing the fact that we are needed, while that feels like love to us.
