Does it not seem strange that in spite of 8,000 years
of history we never seem able to pinpoint the cause of human suffering? Yet it
is staring us straight in the face every day of our lives, and we cannot see
it. The reason we cannot is that there is an inherent ego-weakness in all of us
that allows us to be confused by what we see, and, furthermore, the same in us
can confuse others.
Everywhere you look; people are confusing one another
and generally driving each other mad. Parents do it to children; governments do
it to the people. Business, religion and medicine all do it, each in its own
unique style. Your friends make you doubt yourself, and so do your enemies.
What is more, you—yes, you—do it to others, and you probably do not see it when
it is happening because you find pleasure in getting away with it.
What a proud peacock you are after you have impressed
someone with your knowledge or knocked him down to build yourself up.
In order to become a psycho-power, you must confuse;
you must cause people to leave behind their own sensibilities so that they will
rely on you as their savior, and after you have destroyed their confidence and
transferred their faith to you, you will hold the reins of power, life and
security—such as it is. Your victims can only believe in themselves if you
believe in them, and for the sake of your support, they will do anything. They
will follow you to hell and back for your reassurance.
The entire world system is built upon a lie-base. The
evil principality behind the scenes can only exist as long as it remains
believable, as long as it is not seen for what it is. To become acceptable to
people, you have to come down to their level; you simply cannot be yourself if
you want to be accepted by the world. And when you are loved for not being
yourself, you become less and less yourself; here you discover that you have
been had. Here comes the guilt, attended by the need to be loved by what you
will come to hate, and here, also, comes death.
