It
is an observable fact that corrupted people, criminals for example, owe their
first loyalty to the powers that have made them what they are, stoutly
resisting any attempt to correct them. Correction appears as the mortal enemy
that only serves to harden them.
If
you have ever experienced the hell of having a child come home different or
changed through some experience, and if you have suffered through endless
frustrations trying to set him straight, you had better pay careful attention
to this text. Incidentally, the cure is to be calm, patient and strong enough
to keep such children from their friends, music, hangouts until they have gone
through their withdrawal pains and have come to their senses, and naturally,
be sure not to be that kind of influence yourself.
As
for the psycho-physiology of corruption, you would do well to thoroughly
familiarize yourself with just how it works, because as a mature adult you do
not have a parent to hold you back. The parent in your case is your parent
self-consciousness, from whom comes the power to set you free.
Allow
me to pull aside the veil of certain animal relationships for a moment to look
under the surface to see how the principle of dominance and submission works
when people fall to that level.
In
nature, submission of one beast to another elects pack and herd leaders
naturally. Losers identify with the dominant males so that the future, the
unity and the safety of the group involves following the leader. Unless they
are cast out, losers identify with a leader until the time comes when the loser
can acquire virtues of the leader and become a dominant male with procreation
privileges.
Meanwhile they are compelled to identify and follow, but lying in
wait treachery is afoot.
