We are all very trusting when we come into the world.
Because it is the nature of original sin to put our faith in people we end up misled,
betrayed and disillusioned but
if you look at this philosophically, no real harm is done;
on the contrary if you have the right spirit a great good can arise provided
you let the experience awaken your spirit and teach you something about your
failing. It can tell you, for example, that faith is a precious thing to place in trust
and that people nearly always betray it.
If you look very, very carefully, you will see that the
placing of your faith is something one is supposed to do only with the Deity.
Giving your confidence to the wrong people has come down to you as a compulsive
need to make them god.
The reason for this phenomenon can be traced back through antiquity when man,
seeking to be God (an impossibility) put his trust in a lie and that same pride
that
comes down to us, bringing with it a lie believing, lie
based nature, seeking to complete what was begun, is what is causing all our
problems to this very day.
Liars are people who can, by their very presence, exclude a supportive feeling
that your ego needs and must consequently trust for the sake of
that need. You see, you exchange trust for a mysterious promise of fulfillment
inherent in such trust.
Life cannot be a matter of believing a lie one moment and accepting the truth
the next. A man is not a confusion of lies and truths any more
than a woman can be little bit pregnant. Nothing can be just a little bit sterile; it’s
one or the other. Men might have gone on to perfection were not corruption introduced.
But now that man's soul is polluted, the only way it can be more is through more pollution and to the
corrupted, corruption does not seem like corruption. It seems like life
and growing.
Once corruption is introduced, what is made of corruption stuff keeps growing
up inside. On the other side purity, what is pure will grow up instead. A
chicken grows in an egg if it is not cracked; otherwise, it will be maggots.
So you see your nature (one way or another) must trust in something greater
than itself in order for it to exist. It is bound into a life of deception if it does not recognize the truth.
