the universe was truly created from the conceptualizations of God, it surely
follows that we human beings and all which constitutes our reality are the
direct result of our Creator's ego-tripping in the realm of his imagination.
That which he imagined metamorphosed from thought stuff into real solid, living
matter, complete with life cycles and orbits. In this case, we can truly say
"His thinking makes it so” and because our minds are reflections of his,
we tend to duplicate his creativity by constructing mental realms of our own.
the world of imagination we inhabit, we are proud creators, we are gods. We
tend to lose sight of the fact that we, his created ones, can carry on as we do
only by his grace; above all, we must look to him for our guidelines. Marveling
at the scope and beauty of God's creation, wondering and marveling being
tantamount to worship, we are rewarded (loved) and renewed. God's love then
sustains our life so that his life in us becomes our life. Do you see that by
waking from the dream-world of our imagination, we immerse ourselves into reality
and surrender ourselves worshipfully to his spirit, his will?
it is into the realm of our "own" imagination that we immerse our ego
spirit and into imagination's reality we are immersed by the ego, seeing ourselves
as the creative force in our lives, rather than as the created. Surely, if the
one God did not exist, we should have to conjure him up in our imagination in
order to save ourselves from the madness of the god game most of us play.
somewhere in our imaginings, another force is working its dark and sinister
wonders, offering up answers and rationale for all that is going wrong with our
world in the form of greater shames and disasters. Real monsters are welling up
out of the id, the dark side of our nature.
